Editor’s List: Authority Magazine’s Favorite ‘Five Things Videos’ About The Five Things You Need To Thrive and Succeed as a Woman Founder (Part Three)

According to this EY report, only about 20 percent of newly funded companies have women founders. This reflects great historical progress, but it also shows that more work still has to be done to empower women to create companies. What is currently holding women back from founding companies? What particular obstacles do women have to overcome to start companies? What can we learn from successful women founders? Authority Magazine started a series called “Female Founders: Five Things You Need To Thrive and Succeed as a Woman Founder.” We interviewed hundreds of successful women founders about what it takes to thrive and succeed as a woman founder. Some of the experts we interviewed put together some fantastic videos sharing their five tips. Please enjoy these videos and interviews below.

Previously, Nilima founded a taboo-breaking venture called Iesha Learning, bringing sex education and gender sensitization to half a million middle schoolers across India, and also launched and ran a seed stage impact accelerator that was later funded by the Rockefeller Foundation. She is a two-time TEDx speaker, has starred in a reality show about social entrepreneurs reaching 10 million viewers in India, is a SXSW Pitch Advisory Board member, and has published 15+ business case studies for top-tier MBA programs worldwide.
