… I apologize for annoying everyone. I am not a fan of remote work. The reason I’m not a fan of remote work, while everyone else seems to disagree with me, is that I’ve always found that when you put these teams together in an unstructured way, and they sit there and they sit there- especially if it’s a reasonable size group- you get interesting ideas. It’s very hard to do that with Zoom and it’s equivalent.

At the Collision 2022 Conference in Toronto, we had the pleasure to participate in a question and answer session with Eric Schmidt. Eric is a world-renowned technology executive. He is a technologist, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and former CEO and chairman of Google. You don’t get much bigger jobs in tech. In 2017, he co-founded Schmidt Futures, a philanthropic initiative that bets early on exceptional people making the world better. He’s also an author of a new book called The Age of AI and Our Human Future.
