As part of my interview series on the five things you need to know to become a great author, I had the pleasure of interviewing Glynnette Byrom Scott. Glynnette Byrom Scott is a retired speech and language pathologist. Over the years, she shared her experience marching with Martin Luther King, Jr., with her students on numerous occasions and was inspired to write and publish her first book. In her first published book, “The Day I Marched With Martin: A Day to Remember”, she now shares this account with others.
Thank you so much for joining us! Can you share a story about what brought you to this particular career path?
I would say I kind of stumbled upon this career path. I did not set out to become an author originally. I just told the students at my school where I worked as a speech and language pathologist, my account of marching with Martin Luther King, Jr. in Boston as an eleven-year-old girl.
