In this interview series, we are talking to leaders who are helping to promote sustainability and climate justice. As part of this series, we had the pleasure of interviewing Julio Verissimo, Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Julio Verissimo has been for over more then 20 years an Executive leader and has deployed projects in over 40 countries from IT to transformations and also woreless networks had significant roles in telco sector and banking sector with development of several systems for VAR and regulation, he is also executive member of several chambers of commerce and had roles and was partner of several equity and funds for diverse sectors including crypto currency projects, he also worked with UKTI UK Trade and investment in multiple countries for fund aquire for many companies.
Thank you so much for doing this with us! You are known globally for your expertise in multi-sectoral advance technologies. When did your drive for technology begin? (Share your background).
As an executive with over 24 years of experience in multi-sectoral growth and expertise in various advanced technologies, my drive for technology began early in my life. I have always been fascinated by the possibilities that technology offers, which led me to pursue formal education in engineering and computer science. Over the years, I have deployed and executed projects in more than 47 countries, ranging from IT to technological transformations and wireless networks. My significant roles in the telco and banking sectors involved developing various systems for value-added resellers (VAR) and regulation.
Additionally, I have been actively involved in diverse sectors, including crypto currency projects, as a partner in several equity and funds. What is important for you in a project?
For me, the most important aspects of a project are its positive impact on society and the environment. I prioritize projects that are technologically advanced, socially responsible, and financially viable, ensuring long-term sustainability.
How do you “think outside the box” when it comes to your clients?
To think outside the box when dealing with clients, we come up with creative and unique solutions tailored to their specific needs. For instance, we might propose integrating renewable energy sources into existing infrastructure, transforming conventional systems into more efficient and eco-friendly ones, these transformations in many sectors will make a significant reduction of pollution and more efficient same time.
What can be done in renewable energy to help with GDP, infrastructure, medical, water systems and telco?
In the realm of renewable energy, there are vast opportunities to positively impact GDP growth, infrastructure development, medical advancements, water systems, and telecommunications networks. Investing in renewable energy can lead to economic growth, improved healthcare, reliable water supply, and enhanced communication infrastructure, improving environment and reducing cost prices of energy and making all process “green” all sectors will benefit from it.
Is there a silver lining?
In my vision for the future, I see a silver lining in the increased adoption of advanced technologies and sustainable practices. Clients come to us today for our expertise because they understand the importance of shaping a better tomorrow through innovation and environmental responsibility, has well constructing full solutions and or to optimize and improve current operations customers have.
What is the root of many problems? (understanding etc..)
