Paul Bourque is 53. He worked at the Department of Correction in Connecticut, but when he retired he was looking for an opportunity to “give back” to the people he dealt with over his years working in a prison.

“As a Correction Officer, the real impact that you can have on the rehabilitation of those in prison is limited.”

An ad on Indeed.com piqued Paul’s interest. It involved teaching Life and Entrepreneurial Skills in the Connecticut prison system with Defy Ventures. Defy, a national non-profit working with men and women both in prison and in the community across the United States.
