What does it take to become an effective and successful author or writer? In this interview series, called “5 Things You Need To Be A Successful Author or Writer” we are talking to successful authors and writers who can share lessons from their experiences.

As part of this series, I had the pleasure of interviewing Jaylen Christie. Jaylen Christie is an award-winning writer, cartoonist, and public relations practitioner. He is a two-time Hermes Creative Award winner, has been recognized by Black Enterprise magazine as a B.E. Modern Man, an initiative honoring the essence, image, and accomplishments of today’s man of color, and is a recipient of the Orlando Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 accolade. Jaylen is the author of the comic book, “Stink Bomb Man and The Brain Kids” and is currently earning a PhD in sociology from the University of Central Florida.
