…You have to have integrity and do what you say you’re going to do when you say you’re going to do it.
For my series on strong female leaders, I had the pleasure of interviewing Jennifer Egbert.
Award-wining luxury realtor, Jennifer Egbert is a specialist in high end modernist home sales in her native Boulder, Colorado. Working with the area’s most sought-after architects, builders, and designers, she combines an unparalleled understanding of the Boulder market with an honest and always straightforward approach, that has made her the go-to luxury realtor for clients seeking extra special homes with modern architectural design.
As a Northern Colorado resident of nearly thirty years, Jennifer Egbert grounds her forward-thinking marketing strategies with a community-driven outreach. In fact, she attributes her success to her longtime connection with Boulder’s businesses and its people.
But it’s not just her close ties to the community that has made her its premier specialist in modern homes: it’s her knowledge and understanding of how all the layers of real estate — culture, design and lifestyle — fit together in perfect alignment.
Thank you for joining us in this interview series Jennifer. Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
It’s funny you ask that because someone else just asked me that yesterday! I was 27-years-old, a jack of all trades and master of none. I’d been working my way through college before I finally had to face the fact that university wasn’t working for me. I dropped out and was hired as an assistant by a gas and oil company in Denver. Almost immediately, I realized I’d made a mistake. I had no idea what I was supposed to be doing there, and they didn’t have the time to train me. I just sat all day long, doing nothing. Eventually, we decided there wasn’t enough for me to do and parted ways. As I sat on the bus on my way back home to Boulder, I asked myself, What am I doing with my life?
