The importance of balance — The most successful have a life outside of work. Of all the greatest things we’ve accomplished as a team, it would all have an asterisk if I missed baseball games and date nights. People want to see that there’s more to life than work, and if you can’t showcase a balanced life at the top, then how could you expect them to enjoy such joy themselves? There is a world where our personal lives can thrive along with our careers, but it doesn’t happen by accident. You have to be super intentional to pick and choose where the business trumps your life — easier said than done.
