It’s a collective strength and comfort of knowing that someone will have your back in times of turmoil and duress. Surrounding yourself with a solid team and support system will help distract you from your low points.

Jonathan Gill has been ingrained in the world of audio as long as he can remember; a founding team member of Mozu, a Technical Architect at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), worked on 30+ albums, voted in the Grammy Awards, held pre-IPO shares in Spotify and was a co-inventor of a database security patent. The key insight from his career was that while music has many people offering solutions to industry problems. Nobody was truly offering solutions for podcasters: the technology of the space was antiquated, holding back its potential. Since launching Backtracks in 2016, Gill has been serving the needs of listeners, publishers and advertisers by offering solutions for problems in the podcast industry.

Thank you so much for joining us in this interview series! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
