I believe life is a series of passages. Madison Avenue Couture is my fourth career passage. For a woman, especially one who entered the business world in the late 1970s, navigating that world was very difficult. I started in a very male dominated industry — finance — and it was difficult to be taken seriously. I was in senior positions but my male compatriots looked at me first as a woman and not as a team member or an investor. I became an entrepreneur in 1987…
