When you’re an entrepreneur, you have a lot of autonomy, but there isn’t necessarily anyone giving you guidance on what you should or shouldn’t be doing. It’s not like a typical job where you’re getting a paycheck and being told what your next project is. You constantly have to figure out what that next task is and where the company is moving. There’s a great deal of responsibility and stress, but it’s rewarding because in the end, you’re fully accountable for the company’s success.

As a part of our series called “My Life as a Twenty-Something Founder,” I had the pleasure of interviewing Myles Hunter.

At only 29, Hunter is already in his sixth year as CEO of TutorMe, which was launched in 2015 to connect students with a qualified online tutor in under 30 seconds. As the first person in his family to attend college, Hunter earned a scholarship to the University of Southern California and worked his way through school with a job at the health center.
