Peter: When building an online community, moderation must be one of the key principals behind anything you do. As I mentioned above, a keyboard and anonymity tend to give people more confidence to post more hateful speech. At Sage, we’ve implemented a very stringent and user-driven approach to how we measure the quality of content, as well as it’s offensiveness to others. Users can report any content for moderation purposes, and it will be taken down from the website immediately. Our review process happens after the fact to make sure quality content stays up while negative content and hate speech is removed as quickly as possible.
