… Help your children develop a deep awareness of their emotions when they’re beginning to feel upset, stressed out, or annoyed. And not only to know those emotions but to know and be aware of when their body or behavior is telling them that certain kinds of emotions are rising. It’s essential to help children understand themselves when they feel like they’re whining at an early age. What is that whining going to lead to? It’s social-emotional awareness. Part of this is also to help them develop strategies that will help them take stock of the situation and not blow things out of proportion.

School is really not easy these days. Many students have been out of school for a long time because of the pandemic, and the continued disruptions and anxieties are still breaking the flow of normal
