My journey is unconventional, starting not with a typical childhood but as a young rebel, grappling with the challenges of hypersensitivity and ADHD. Early in my teenage years, I dove into books and research in science and human biology, channeling my restless energy and intense curiosity into inventing machines and experimenting with electricity and chemistry. This passion for creation and learning set me apart from my peers, as I used my siblings as makeshift ‘employees’ in these early ventures. My unique upbringing was driven by a deep desire to challenge and reshape established norms in education, wellness, and health. Rather than following traditional paths, I embraced a punk ethos, constantly seeking to disrupt and innovate. My ‘childhood’ was a whirlwind of learning and experimenting, focusing on the intricacies of human biology and the limitless potential of the human brain.

From the start, I was destined to be a disruptor, a revolutionary force in the health industry, constantly evolving and providing innovative advice. Living with hypersensitivity and ADHD fueled my relentless quest for knowledge and the drive to inspire others to break free from societal constraints. This path wasn’t easy — it led to my expulsion from school at 14, and later, just before earning my bachelor’s in Biochemistry, I had to complete it as a free candidate. My story, while unconventional, is a testament to the power of relentless curiosity, resilience in the face of personal challenges, and the courage to defy the status quo.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you began leading your company or organization?

Certainly! Throughout my entrepreneurial journey, embracing challenges and disruption has always been at the core of my ethos. An intriguing chapter in this journey began in 2021 when I sold my biotech company to a publicly listed corporation. I had been an entrepreneur all my life, and this move was a test to see if I could conform my rebellious attitude to fit within a corporate structure.

However, the reality was far from what I had anticipated. Despite receiving a seven-figure compensation, I found myself constantly at odds with the corporate culture. The rigid structures and resistance to innovation were in stark contrast to the freedom and agility I cherished in my own entrepreneurial ventures. My disruptive methods and ideas frequently clashed with the established norms, leading to numerous confrontations.

Less than two years into this role, I made a decisive move, guided by a profound realization: freedom is indeed priceless. No amount of financial gain could substitute the sense of autonomy and the ability to stay true to my principles. Thus, I left the corporate world, embarking on a journey that was more aligned with my deepest convictions and purpose.

This pivotal decision led to the creation of The Lifespanning Company, a venture that represented not just a business initiative, but the embodiment of my life’s mission and beliefs. One of the most significant mistakes I made was treating my company as if it were my own child. This emotional attachment, while stemming from passion and commitment, led to one of my toughest challenges — personal bankruptcy.

In the early stages of my entrepreneurial career, I poured everything into my first company. The dedication was intense, and I believed wholeheartedly that with enough effort and perseverance, any obstacle could be overcome. This mindset, however, blinded me to the practicalities and realities of business. I held on too tightly, unwilling to accept that sometimes, letting go or pivoting is necessary for long-term success. This attachment and inability to make tough decisions at crucial moments eventually led to financial downfall.

The journey through bankruptcy was arduous, but it wasn’t the end. I bounced back by selling my second company, which was a testament to resilience and the ability to recover from setbacks. Emotional attachment, while important, should not cloud judgment or hinder necessary business decisions.

Over the years, I’ve been deeply involved in starting, running, merging, acquiring, selling, and even losing a total of 11 for-profit businesses. The Lifespanning Company was born from a desire to make a significant impact on society, to challenge the status quo, and to democratize access to longevity. This venture is not about creating a personal legacy; for me, the goal of being remembered is secondary. This shift was influenced by a realization that while for-profit businesses have their merits and place in the economy, there comes a point where one’s focus needs to pivot towards larger, more inclusive goals. This exclusivity did not sit well with my vision of a world where these life-enhancing advancements should be available to all, regardless of their socio-economic status.
