In 2023 Anjelika Washington can be seen starring in the upcoming Universal Pictures feature film “Praise This.” The film, a cinematic musical event, is set in the world of Atlanta’s competitive gospel choir praise teams. Washington shines as Jess, a member of the struggling, underdog praise team who is striving to make it to the national championship competition. A celebration of music, “Praise This” also stars Chlöe Bailey, Tristen Mack Wilds, Quavo, Birgundi Baker, Crystal Renee Hayslett, Loren Lott, Jekalyn Carr, Koryn Hawthorne, and Drew “Druski” Desbordes. The film is set to premiere on Peacock spring 2023 (date TBA).
