You can win even when you’re losing. I once entered an investment project where I bought a house with my husband to renovate and sell. Unfortunately, the financial institution, the appraiser, and the contractor didn’t live up to their end of the partnership after we committed a significant amount of our savings. Even though a judge ruled in our favor, we were never able to recover our losses. I worked incredibly hard to pay off that debt. It was an excruciating but rewarding lesson.
