Nobody has the “right” answer — leadership is many parts feeling confident in your knowledge, experience, and instinct. Great leaders aren’t following a blueprint.

As part of my series about “individuals and organizations making an important social impact”, I had the pleasure of interviewing Amy Nakamoto, General Manager of Social Impact at Discovery Education — the worldwide edtech leader whose state-of-the-art digital platform supports learning wherever it takes place.

As General Manager of Social Impact at Discovery Education, Amy leads the strategy connecting corporate and community partners to K-12 school classrooms via real-world content, large-scale critical issue coalitions, and direct partnerships with school districts. Discovery Education serves as the social impact partner to more than 60 companies, nonprofits, and government agencies, uniquely supporting students and educators with standards-aligned digital resources that connect the classroom to the real world.

Thank you so much for joining us in this interview series! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
