I had the pleasure of interviewing Christina Kumar.

Jean: Thank you so much for doing this with us! What is your “backstory” of how you become a founder?

Your welcome. I had won a Google for Entrepreneurs competition in Northern California which gave me the kick-start to start another company.Entrepreneurship is something that I have always had interest in.

Jean: What do you think makes your company stand out? Can you share a story?

It stands out because it tackles a problem which many people are having today in regards to their cell phones. After graduating from a start-up program and learning how to really validate your customers; I figured out people are really looking for simpler solutions.

Jean: Are you working on any exciting projects now?

Yes, an e-commerce company in the top 24% of stores within the same platform according to their statistics.It is in the works to expand.

Jean: Do you have a favorite book that made a deep impact on your life? Can you share a story?

Yes. Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson. It really inspired me to the entrepreneurship world and opened my eyes to how he got started and to where he was able to take things to where they are today.

Jean: What are your “5 Lessons I Learned as a Twentysomething Founder” and why? Please share a story or example for each.

1) It’s a learning process; keep going even if you have to pivot.

2) The more time you spend on your business, the more you will most likely learn.

3) Network with others in your field. Referrals are helpful.

4) Start small and scale up; This will help mitigate any mistakes in the beginning.

5) Keep going forward. Look for ways to expand.
