T.H. Irwin and Jessica Klingbaum are Proving Why They are exEXPERTS When It Comes to Divorce
An interview with Ilyssa Panitz

Nobody puts T.H. Irwin and Jessica Klingbaum in the corner when it comes to the subject of divorce. Not only have these girls been BFFs for over 20-years but while they were married to their husbands, they did everything together as a foursome until the guys were caught cheating with other women….at the same time! Though the journey of divorce came with its challenges, its tears and its difficulties T.H. and Jessica had one other plus something up juicy up their sleeve they wanted to put into action. Instead of moping around, they decided to merge their professional backgrounds in Marketing and Television Producing plus their personal involvement with divorce, to fuel the idea for exEXPERTS, a website and Podcast filled with an array of topics on divorce.
Ilyssa Panitz: What motivated you to create exEXPERTS?
T.H. Irwin: exEXPERTS had been in the works in our heads for close to 14-years. When we both got divorced, which happened at the exact same time back in 2008, we really leaned on each other to get through it all. And we would say to each other how lucky we were to have this kind of unconditional support and wondered aloud how we could somehow be a source of strength and support for other women going through divorce.
Jessica Klingbaum: It took us a while to be able to structure what it would look like and how to get it off the ground, but the impetus came from our own personal experiences and how our stories would help others.
Ilyssa Panitz: Why the name?
Jessica Klingbaum: We wanted something that would resonate, that would be self-explanatory to people who heard it, but that was also a bit fun. A big part of our philosophy with exEXPERTS is that we want to be able to help people smile and laugh even as they go through the process, and the name exEXPERTS just fit the feeling and vibe we were going for. It explains what it is in a clever way. Plus, we’d read somewhere that business names that have the hard “x or k” sound in them are easier for people to remember. :)
