… One of the gifts of COVID is that we started talking to our neighbors. I’ve always had great neighbors and strong communities, but there are people who don’t even know their neighbors, which I find bizarre. COVID taught us the importance of connecting with others. We should hold onto the lessons we learned during that time, like looking out for each other and being willing to borrow a bag of sugar or a tea bag. By doing so, we can avoid facing the future depicted in The Peripheral.
