…being a CEO is almost never about making decisions. It’s almost always about just supporting people and allowing them to make the decisions. I figured out that the only time that I really have to take part in decision making is when there are many great options and people can’t make up their minds. So I do this to help them move forward. Most of the job is actually helping people to see the bigger picture so that they can figure how to weigh many of these options against each other and choose the best one. However, actually choosing for them is not part of the job.
