I’d want people to know that everything requires me to exert more energy to breathe. It takes more energy for me to do what seems like regular tasks, like showering, getting dressed, and driving somewhere. People don’t understand how sensitive you are to the elements in the air when your heart is weak and not pumping oxygen properly. For example, when it’s too windy or dusty outside, I may avoid leaving the house because it’s harder for me to breathe.
