Women In Wellness: Kristin Petrovich of själ On The Five Lifestyle Tweaks That Will Help Support People’s Journey Towards Better Wellbeing

An Interview With Candice Georgiadis

As a part of my series about women in wellness, I had the pleasure of interviewing Kristin Petrovich, President and Co-Founder of själ skincare.

Kristin Petrovich, Co-Founder of själ, has been cited as the pioneer of integrative luxury skincare. Along with her mother, Karen, they began their quest to create a simple regimen addressing multiple concerns with a minimal amount of products that include gemstones and precious metals like gold and silver. Kristin has been involved in every aspect of the business since its inception twenty years ago and continues to be the visionary force behind själ skincare.

Thank you so much for joining us in this interview series! Our readers would love to “get to know you” better. Can you share your “backstory” with us?

To design the most comprehensive and well-rounded products on the market with precious metals and gemstones, my mother and I decided to merge our personal interest in Eastern and complementary medicines with the latest in Western biotechnology and research.

Eastern skincare practices has been used for years but that jump into merging it with western philosophies is new. When we first started not many people talked about energy and frequency. It was viewed as make believe. We saw how gold and platinum was being used in different delivery system in medications, vibration frequencies to treat degenerative illnesses. How doctors used gold as disruptors. The delivery systems were created outside of Barcelona. I spoke to an owner of an ingredient company to team up and use it to apply to peptides.

My vision was always to combine something super ancient to new advancements. Why aren’t we linking the two? Re-harmonize the energy? If you put the right enough of frequency you can create luminosity and brightness to the skin. Our skin responds to this. Coupling it with physical ingredients like an algae or vitamins, which makes a powerful component. These are eastern principles. We have to omit these manmade and psychological stressors, själ is skincare’s version of a detox from external factors.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started your career? What were the main lessons or takeaways from that story?

Most manufacturers or chemists were skeptical, questioning why we would these luxurious ingredients. We never sacrificed the integrity of the products. Our contacts did not want to go that extra step. själ’s saphir face oil, for instance, almost four years to formulate. It takes time to find the right people, like our gemstone expert.

We did not succumb to the industry recommendations. You have to have your wits and stay true to your vision.

It has been said that our mistakes can be our greatest teachers. Can you share a story about a mistake you made when you were first starting? Can you tell us what lesson you learned from that?

I omitted a serum product with a new serum. Though our devotees loved them both. If something is good just keep it.

Let’s jump to our main focus. When it comes to health and wellness, how is the work you are doing helping to make a bigger impact in the world?

We are a small, artisanal company and do not believe in compromising to the norms practiced in this skincare business. We uphold high quality industry beauty standards. For instance the majority of our ingredients are from Europe with no GMOs.

Can you share your top five “lifestyle tweaks” that you believe will help support people’s journey towards better wellbeing? Please give an example or story for each.

In addition to eating organic real food from the earth I do the following:

1. Acupuncture/homeopathy .

2. Regular detoxes with zeolite, bentonite, charcoal, beets, green tea, pine needle tea or extract.

3. Liquid Tri-Iodine to support thyroid and metabolism.

4. Vitamin infusions, especially Vitamin C for immune support.

5. Combatting 5G by using black/dark stones to absorb energy, ground and protect. I also use body align products on electronics, such as the Tesla purple plates.

If you could start a movement that would bring the most amount of wellness to the most amount of people, what would that be?

Offering food free of GMOs, filtered water and accessible ways to monitor your body’s PH and make sure fluoride is out of your water system, which calcifies the penal gland that connects to your intuition.

What are your “5 Things I Wish Someone Told Me Before I Started” and why?

  1. Never realized how much research was involved to create the right formulation, you have to build in in the investment of time.
  2. Follow your instinct.
  3. There are no shortcuts.
  4. Don’t reinvent the wheel, prioritize where your time is most valuable.
  5. I was open to a mentor but never found one, be confident on your journey’s mission.

Sustainability, Veganism, mental health, and environmental changes are big topics at the moment. Which one of these causes is dearest to you, and why?

Mental health: In a world of growing complexity and chaos, I think it’s about nurturing the spirit and simplifying, having a back to the basics mentality.

Strive to keep your vibrational frequency as high as possible.

Enjoy nature at much as possible.

Unplug from electronics and news.

Protect yourself from fear mode (a very low frequency).

Connect with the Creator/divine (the most powerful, positive force in the universe).

Study universal laws and principals.

What is the best way for our readers to further follow your work online?

Thank you for these fantastic insights! We wish you continued success and good health.
