Sneak movement in throughout the day: As a busy working mom I don’t always have time for an official workout so I sneak Pilates into my day — 10 minutes of leg work while brushing my teeth and drying my hair, 10-minutes while the kids play on the floor and 10-minutes between calls — before you know it, I’ve done 30 minutes of Pilates without actually doing a formal workout! And it doesn’t have to be Pilates — it could be a dance break, a brisk walk or a little bit of stretching. The key is just to sneak more movement into your days — you’ll feel so much better if you do.

As a part of my series about women in wellness, I had the pleasure of interviewing Robin Long, Founder, CEO & Lead Instructor of Lindywell. Robin believes Pilates is powerful and can transform your relationship with exercise, improve your mental health, and help you live life to the fullest. Robin’s own life-changing experience in a Pilates class led her to become a certified Pilates instructor nearly 15 years ago. As the lead instructor at Lindywell, Robin’s unique, grace-filled teaching style will help you fall in love with Pilates and all its amazing benefits.

To the outside world it would appear I had nothing to complain about, but somehow, I still hated my body and spent countless hours stressing over what I was eating, how I looked or how I should be…
