As a part of my series about “How To Develop Mindfulness”, I had the pleasure of interviewing Yuko Adachi.
Yuko Adachi was born in Tokyo, Japan. As a child and teenager, she was brought up in Tokyo, Paris, New York, and London, enriching her soul with multi-cultural experiences. Yuko graduated from Sophia University (Tokyo) and then went to study at Georgetown University. She then flew to Boston to pursue her dream. She received her second bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University. She furthered her studies on another scholarship at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts as a selected exchange student and also studied at the Massachusetts College of Art in the USA. Since then, she has received multiple awards acknowledging her talents, and has been featured in over 53 exhibitions around the world.
Thank you so much for doing this with us! Our readers would love to “get to know you” a bit better. Can you share with us the backstory about what brought you to your specific career path?
Reflecting on my journey, I’ve come to understand that the Universe challenges us to grow spiritually and affirm our gifts, highlighting the interconnectedness of all things. In 2020, I felt a profound calling to expand my healing abilities through “The Art of Energy Healing.” While I had been downloading lightcodes through ART until then, energy healing presented a new direction aligned with my soul’s purpose.
By the end of 2021, an intuitive nudge led me to relocate from Switzerland to Costa Rica with my family. Within days of our move, I found myself fully immersed in the role of a healer. It was then that a pivotal moment unfolded — a woman traveled from afar seeking my assistance in energy healing. Her suffering was apparent, her condition dire. “I saw an image of you holding a Lemurian crystal on an Airbnb listing, and I knew instantly that I found my shaman and I decided to come,” she told me.
Despite my lack of experience in treating physical ailments since my speciality is trapped trauma healing, I surrendered and embraced the opportunity. It became clear to me that emotional trauma often manifests as physical illness. Our sessions proved transformative, but her condition continued to worsen over the summer, leading to an urgent request for distant healing which I delivered. She then expressed her intention to return to Costa Rica in the fall solely to received my healing in person.
Her unwavering trust stirred a mix of complex emotions within me — I cried and cried which feelings I can not quite explain. Seeing how sick she was and bed bounded, I felt scared, in awe and humbled at the same time that I was chosen. But I had to ask the Divine if I could fulfill such an important role, and the response was clear: “Do your best, and that is all she wants from you.” “That I can do,” and I took her under my wings and never felt shaken afterwards.
She arrived in a wheelchair wearing an adult diaper this time. Her determination to heal mirrored my own. For the next six weeks, we immersed ourselves in 2 weekly sessions summoning up to 12 in total, surrendering to divine guidance. As we healed her emotional trauma, her physical symptoms began to fade. She experienced remarkable improvements. She regained mobility and no longer needed a wheel chair. She was able to run for the first time in many years, reduced medication, and even reversed expected medical outcomes.
Her transformation was nothing short of a miracle, echoing tales of jungle shamans restoring life to the dying. After her departure, I took 3 months off from work to recover from the intense physical exhaustion while being grateful and mesmerized by the profound magic we experienced. I realized that while I may not be a healer for all, I am a shaman for those whose souls resonate with my calling to serve.
She entered my life as a beacon of affirmation, arriving early in my journey as a shamanic healer. In her quest of healing her emotional and physical pain spanning 12 years, she encountered various shamans and healers and mediums, yet it was our encounter that she told me was the first one that served her on every imaginable level of healing she wanted to experience. Little did I know of my gifts in the art of healing, she was sent to me as a divine catalyst, affirming my path as a shaman, reaffirming the power of energy healing and reigniting the shamanic essence within me recalling my past lives incarnations.
What advice would you give to other leaders about how to create a fantastic work culture?
I want to define first what “a fantastic work culture” means to me. It is a work environment where everyone’s fundamental spirit and human rights are respected equally by bosses and colleagues. Therefore, you are encouraged to freely express your abundant, unique creative energy, while also nurturing career growth and personal well-being. So how is that created? For those in leadership roles, the responsibility lies in creating a foundation of positive energy, ensuring workers feel safe, thriving, and respected in every aspect including their physical, mental, emotional, and energetic boundaries. This includes upholding high ethical standards, clearly communicating policies, and encouraging open dialogue. Workers should feel empowered to express their truth, fostering an environment where authentic selves can contribute collectively to create something greater than working on your own. Ultimately, a fantastic work culture is one where individuals feel valued, supported, and empowered to contribute their best, leading to collective success and fulfillment. But we must not forget that the key factor to create a fantastic work culture is affected by the frequency of the individual’s consciousness of each worker. By cultivating self love and gratitude for oneself, such high-frequency energies will spread throughout the workplace ensuring the nourishing work environment. So everything is interconnected as everything is energy.
Is there a particular book that made a significant impact on you? Can you share a story or explain why it resonated with you so much?
What fascinated me most about “Messages from Michael,” written by Chelsea Quinn Yarbro, was its ability to provide real information about the unseen spirit world. It was the first book to quench my thirst for such knowledge, arriving at a divine moment when I needed confirmation to trust in the world of spirit communication — a topic rarely discussed in everyday conversation or taught in school.
The book was lent to me by a powerful and affluent individual, a long-time spiritual seeker who had purchased one of my oil paintings. His sudden appearance in my life felt serendipitous. At the time, I already sensed that the spirit world played a significant role in our natural human experience, despite being largely ignored or suppressed on a collective level for thousands of years.
Discovering a community of souls actively supporting the reality of universal truth, which includes the presence of the spirit world in our lives, brought me immense relief and validation.
Ok, thank you for all that. Now let’s move to the main focus of our interview. From your experience or research, how would you define and describe the state of being mindful?
“Mindfulness” begins with a simple yet profound realization: within each of you lies an innate spiritual longing to connect with your higher self and harmonize with the cosmic source from which we originated. This calling emanates from the pure essence of universal consciousness. Once we embrace this truth and recognize the divine blueprint encoded within our DNA for spiritual evolution, you commit yourself to the path of soul alignment through the spiritual ascension process of “coming home.”
To embody mindfulness is to become a vigilant observer of your energy — of your actions, words, thoughts, moods, behaviors, emotions, and decisions — understanding their impact on yourself and others, shaping the reality you wish to manifest. It is a conscious decision to honor your soul’s desire to unify with the eternal divinity within, leading you towards enlightenment.
This might be intuitive to you, but it will be instructive to spell this out. Can you share with our readers a few of the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of becoming mindful?
When you embrace mindfulness, you’re stepping beyond the confines of everyday 3D reality. It’s a celebration of liberation from the limitations of 3D materialistic and physical reality, instantly granting access to the boundless abundance the Universe offers for healing, freedom, and empowerment.
Mindfulness shifts your perspective, unveiling unseen aspects of life. For instance, many of my clients have struggled to voice their inner truth, falling into the role of people-pleasing and losing touch with their authentic selves. This internal conflict often manifests as emotional and physical symptoms stemming from unresolved trauma.
By cultivating self-awareness through mindfulness and having a conscious internal dialogue, you reclaim your power as the creator of your experiences. No longer constrained by circumstances, you recognize the freedom and potency of your choices. This transformative shift frees you from a mindset of victimhood and empowers you to embrace a creator’s mindset, impacting your physical, emotional, mental, and energetic well-being. It is awakening of SELF LOVE to heal yourself to be in your highest soul alignment. So you come to love yourself again.
Through mindfulness, you confront the repeated patterns ingrained in your family lineage and your own trapped trauma, which you may have previously avoided acknowledging. This journey involves a process of healing through the layers of multidimensionality, where healing energy serves as the ultimate source of restoration and integration. As you deepen your mindfulness practice, you forge connections with unseen energies, nurturing inner guidance, intuition and psychic abilities. This newfound connection opens you to the abundant offerings of life, fostering gratitude and love from within. You become aware of all there is and that you are a part of it.
Mindfulness transcends mere practice; it becomes a way of life, bringing genuine joy, peace, and alignment with your soul essence. It’s an ongoing journey of growth and transformation, guided by your inner truth, the Cosmic Consciousness, to unify with the frequency of your higherself.
Ok. Here is the main question of our discussion. The past 5 years have been filled with upheaval and political uncertainty. Many people have become anxious from the dramatic jolts of the news cycle. From your experience or research, what are five steps that each of us can take to develop mindfulness during such uncertain times? Can you please share a story or example for each.

In the realm of spiritual growth, our responses to adversity often illuminate our true character. This truth became strikingly evident in a recent experience that put my teachings of authenticity and present moment awareness to the test. Basically my words are challenged to be transformed into action to prove my authenticity of my own teachings…
One morning, while I was preparing for a transformative shamanic healing session for a client traveling from afar, I received a distressing call. My husband was involved in a serious quad accident. With emotions swirling as I held my tears, I faced a critical decision: succumb to fear and worry, or anchor myself in the present moment.
I made a conscious decision to focus on the task at hand. I reminded myself of my commitment to my client’s healing journey, recognizing that I could offer nothing to my husband in that instant. I redirected my attention to the session ahead and remained committed to honoring my client’s journey towards healing and transformation.
Yet, the Universe had more in store. Amidst the healing session, another phone call demanded my attention — this time, news of medical airplane coming for my husband. In the face of uncertainty I maintained spiritual calmness, swiftly coordinating necessary arrangements while remaining fully present with my client’s healing session.
As the day unfolded, a beautiful synchronicity emerged. Despite what presented itself as the chaos, the healing session proceeded seamlessly, leaving both my client and me awash in profound transformation and gratitude. Only later did she learn of the challenges I’d faced throughout the day.
In the midst of uncertainty, I found solace in bringing my consciousness to be one with the present moment, remaining steadfast in my soul calling in that situation as a divinely guided healer. Ultimately, amidst the chaos, everything fell into place. My husband received the care he needed, and I emerged with a newfound sense of purpose and authenticity, fully embracing and empowered by my innate gifts.
It is through these challenges that we are invited to deepen our spiritual practice and embody our truest selves.
