Dr. Mehmet Yildiz

Who are you?
Thank you for the opportunity to interview me.
I am honored and humbled to be selected!
Who am I? Wow! This is a gigantic question. Not sure where to start!
Let me take a deep breath.
This is a question I keep asking myself for a lifetime.
I am still asking this question as part of my stoic practice daily.
Defining myself has been a challenge as I keep growing, radically changing, and transforming day by day.
As an inventor, I also reinvented myself multiple times, aiming at the better version at each iteration. I practice agile progress striving for excellence yet refraining from perfection.
My professional background can be found on my author platform DigitalMehmet.com and Linkedin.

Why write on Medium?
First of all, writing is one of my pleasurable hobbies.
I love sharing my knowledge and experience with others. The more I give, the more I receive. It is an abundance mentality with a growth mindset.
I enjoy meeting new readers and writers. Writing leads to potential collaboration yielding to synergistic outcomes. I believe in serendipitous encounters. Medium is a prime environment for creating serendipitous fusion. Therefore, Medium is one of my favorite content development platforms.
I like amplifying great messages of writers on this platform for them to reach out to a bigger audience using social media. For example, I tweet articles after reading hence giving chance for the Medium writers to be recognized outside of the Medium platform. This act of kindness also leads to other serendipitous encounters in the vast worldwide ocean.
Medium is an environment I can experiment with various styles of writing, which may appeal to different kinds of readers. I am relatively new on Medium and inspired to create three publications of covering different scopes. My current publications are:
In my publications, I aim to allow Medium writers who are interested in writing and readers discussing these 100+ important topics. Please contact me if any of these publications are interest to you. I can provide access to submit your articles.
I also contributed to other publications such as The Startup, Data-Driven Investor, Age of Awareness, a Few Words, and The IoT Magazine on the Medium platform. I am grateful that these publications allowed me to publish my articles.

My writing interests are eclectic.

I also enjoy writing about my personal transformation under the umbrella of sensible biohacking and transhumanism disciplines. I authored a book reflecting my experiments for my transformation, which was translated into three languages. It is titled “Simple & Powerful Life-Transforming Bio-Hacks”

Do you write anywhere else?
Apart from writing books (8 books), I also write blogs on my own author platform DigitalMehmet, on Linkedin, and GoodReads.
I also regularly post microblogging pieces to Twitter (digitalmehmet) and would love to follow more Medium members on Twitter.
My Amazon author profile also syndicates some of my blogs for my Amazon followers. I also aggregate my thought leadership materials on Thinkers360, which shows my content on the top 100 influencers list, currently 22nd in the list.
I am recognised as number one in the top 50 influencers & thought leaders in Design Thinkers. I also recognized as number nine in the top 50 IoT (Internet of Things) influencers and thought leaders in 2020.
Any big plans for 2020?
