We are never alone in our suffering.
And it is especially when we feel isolated that we approach empathetic union with all lifeforms. Existence in this world is rife with hard knocks, setbacks, and tribulations: No one is spared these indignities.
So when the winds of sorrow blow, please know that the rain falls heavily upon us all, from time to time. And the raging torrents that echo through the mind are fleeting: we will outlast the storm.
We need only hold on.
The shifting winds of fate that push and pull the tides of destiny will turn once more in our favor. Change is an eternal presence: lightning flashes for but an instant.
This impermanence is a blessing to the heartbroken: for it reminds us that nothing — not even distress — lasts forever. And as we cultivate the stamina to endure, we can plainly see that victory crowns brave souls who refuse to submit to defeat.
The time of our divine harvest is nigh: and the dark night will soon give way to the light of a new day. So take heart, brave traveler — the road we walk upon is a path of ascension: we are the power that prevails.
And if ever we are weary, we can rest easy knowing that hardships prepare us for success.
King Solomon once wrote that “pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall” (Prov. 16:18). Likewise, humility brings us low in order that we may appreciate our growing brilliance. And what we learn through adversity is not soon forgotten in times of plenty.
Great challenges precede great triumphs. And every soul destined for glory sheds blood on the battlefields of life. So be fearless and understand that the wisdom we gain in the midst of our trials hones us, sharpening our wits and refining our will to live.
Let us walk boldly upon the earth, knowing — without doubt — that we are more than worth fighting for. Let us stand where we once stooped and cry out triumphantly. Let us conquer the storm and declare our battles won.
And once the rains clear and the tempest is tamed, the fertile ground will yield new life. We will bloom anew, strengthened by the weight of past burdens; and we will rejoice that the sufferings we overcome are never in vain.
