Generating the executable document in Gauge

What is Executable document?

Test developers write scenarios in Markdown language in Gauge. Once they need the scenarios which they have written in automation project in a readable format, they can generate Executable document. It will be the html representation of the specifications.

Steps to generate Executable document

1. Go inside the project folder
2. Shift Key + Right click and get a command prompt
3. Install Gauge spectacles using the following command
   gauge install spectacle
4. Execute the following command to format the steps in the specification files
   gauge format specs
5. Execute the following command to create the executable document
   gauge docs spectacle specs
6. Open “index.html” file in docs\html inside the project
