Though now based in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, Autoscriber’s origins are strongly tied to South Africa.

Also known as the “Silicon Cape,” Cape Town is one of the world’s fastest-growing regions for foreign direct investment, and South Africa ranks top in Africa for economic potential, start-up status and business friendliness

This is one of the many reasons why we are choosing to build a development team in the Cape.

To that end, we’re thrilled to announce two additions to this team. Read more about them below!

Meet Kieran Bester

Kieran obtained his BSc in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of KwaZulu Natal.

He worked for most of his career at one of the “Big 4” banks in South Africa where he was exposed to infrastructure, back-end and front-end. He has also done a bit of startup work himself, teaching himself new technologies and people skills.

In his free time, he is either playing around with Flutter, playing board/computer games or basketball.

“The energy of the team is so exhilarating! I feel like a young child bubbling with excitement. I can’t wait to help lend my expertise and knowledge to help bring Autoscriber to the world.” — Kieran

Meet Cobus von Wielligh

Cobus obtained his BEng (Electrical & Electronic Engineering — specialty Informatics) degree from Stellenbosch University. During his studies he researched VR/AR-technology, was part of a band that performed at multiple music festivals, and co-founded a software company with his brother and father.

His industry experience consists of construction management software, ERP software and agri-technology.

During his free time he likes to attend live music events, spend time outdoors, write music and gaming with friends.

“Being part of such a young and talented team is exciting and energising! It has always been one of my aspirations to be part of the healthcare industry.” — Cobus

We look forward to having you on the board!
