Cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology has received a lot of attention from both academia and industry in recent years. In a series of talks covering Beijing, Shanghai, and more, Ted Yin, cofounder of AVA Labs and co-creator of the HotStuff consensus protocol used by Facebook’s Libra, will cover our current research focusing on the design and implementation of practical blockchain infrastructure that supports decentralized and distributed computing.
During the talk, he will present both HotStuff and Avalanche to show the challenges, solutions and how to bridge the gap between theory and practice in realizing State Machine Replication under Byzantine faults.
