Halouver Beach Park

The Halouver Beach Park is one of the most popular areas in Bal Harbour and is located at 10800 Collins Avenue. It is 1.4 miles in length and contains one of the largest remaining stretch of undeveloped beaches in the Miami-Dade County. The beach has swimming areas which are lifeguarded and provided with up-to-date surf and weather conditions. The park is well known for its white sand shores, beautiful coastal vegetation, open ocean surf and access to various recreational activities. The park also offers umbrella and beach chair rentals, food/drink concessions, picnic areas with grills and tables, restrooms and fishing options at the nearby Baker’s Halouver Cut, the Intracoastal Waterway and Atlantic Ocean. The park is also dog friendly, offers multi-purpose rooms, tennis courts, and bicycle rentals.

Bal Harbour Shops

The Bal Harbour Shops is located at 9700 Collins Avenue and is one of the most well-known attractions in Bal Harbour. This area is an upscale shopping mall in Bal Harbour and features a wide range of options. Shops include well-known names such as Dolce and Gabbanna, Loro Piana, Neiman Marcus, Brioni, Tory Burch, Chanel, Gucci, Bulgari, Hammerman, IWC and Piguet. The shops also include great dining options and include Carpaccio, Makoto, Santa Fe News and Espresso and Zodiac.

Bal Harbour Beach

Bal Harbour Beach runs from the end of Halouver Beach back up the 96th Street and Collins at the point of intersection of Surfside and Bal Harbour. The Bal Harbour Beach is open to the public and also runs adjacent to many luxury hotels in the area. The beach is clean, quiet and great for an early morning jog. There is a sea wall to stroll along at the northernmost end of Bal Harbour’s and it extends out into the Atlantic.

Bill Bird Marina at the Halouver Beach Park

The Bill Bird Marina is located in between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean. The marina is only minutes away from great fishing sites in Bal Harbour and is home to the largest drift fishing fleet in South Florida. The marina features a bait and tackle shop, drift boats, boat rentals, fish cleaning area, marine store, restrooms, gas & diesel fuel, pumpout, towboat service and can accommodate vessels of up to 90’.

Oleta River State Park

Even though the Oleta River State Park is located at approximately 25 minutes outside of Bal Harbour it is still one of the many favourites among residents of Bal Harbour. It is located in the Biscayne Bay area and offers a wide variety of recreational activities. Picnic grills and ables are located in the park and kayak, bicycle and canoe rentals are available. The park also even allows overnight stays in ai-conditioned rustic cabins as well as a youth campground for groups. There is a section of the park which is preserved and is home to native South Florida wildlife and plants. The Oleta River State Park is great for trails and is home to both challenging and novice trails.
