When you arrive in South Beach, art is everywhere in the city. As home to the Art Deco District, this city lives art every day. The city offers over 60 arts and culture museums and city highlights as art and culture is a major part of South Beach and overall Miami as well.

Britto Central Inc.

Named after Ormer Britto who is one of the premier artists of this time and a pop culture icon. His sculptures and paintings are featured in more than 100 galleries across the continents.

Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU

This museum is comprised of two restored synagogues next to each other and offers temporary exhibits which change throughout the year and twice monthly.

World Erotic Art Musuem

The World Erotic Art Museum is a recent addition to the art collection of South Beach and offers public display of erotic art with many historical and contemporary pieces. The owner of the pieces is Naomi Wilzig and her pieces covers all cultures, centuries and lifestyles.

Holocaust Memorial

As the name suggests this museum was erected in tribute to the Jewish victims of Nazi terrorism during and before World War Two. The memorial includes walls which include the images of death camps, a photographic murial, a wall with the names of the victims and a 22-minute documentary film on the creation of the Holocaust Memorial.

The Wolfsonian — Florida International University

The Wolfsonian is a platform for American and European decorative and fine arts produced between 1885 and 1945. It is home to the Dynamo Museum Shop & Café which reflects and is inspired by the themes of the museum’s collection.

Bass Museum of Art

The Bass Museum is located in the Art Deco District and features major European paintings, textiles and sculptures and temporary exhibitions of contemporary art. The museum also offers educational programs, lectures, film series, and live performances to complement the works on view.

Miami Beach Cinematheque

This is dedicated to the alternatives to commercial cinema and is comprised of a gallery, bookstore and screening room. The Miami Beach Cinematheque is home to the Miami Beach Film Society which is a non-profit organization.

Brazilian Film Festival of Miami

This is an annual event held in Miami to promote Brazil, market its tourist destinations and business exchange.

Miami Beach Botanical Garden

The Miami Botanical Garden is a 2.6 acre of land which showcases the native plants and trees of Florida. The garden is perfect for a family picnic and is also sometimes used for social and corporate events. The garden also offers seminars, free family-oriented events and workshops all for educational purposes throughout the year.

Original Miami Beach Antique Show

This is one of the most prestigious shows in the country with over 900 antique dealers from 22 different countries. There is a wide-ranging representation of antiques including silver, porcelain, 17th-19th century furniture, paintings, Asian Art, textiles and rugs, objects of virtue and antique jewelry and watches.

Other museums and shows in South Beach related to art are: Momentum Dance Company, Miami Wildlife Conservation Film Festival, Center for Folk and Community Art, Inffinito Art and Cultural Foundation, Miami City Ballet and Sicilian Film Festival.
