Giving away NFTs is not a new idea. But it has been gaining wider use in recent months as the NFT market has slowed.

More projects have been using #FreeMint as a way to distribute their NFTs to a wide audience. And, they also use it as a tool to build community.

I covered the pros and cons of #FreeMint in an article yesterday. If you didn’t read it, you might want to do so as an introduction.

Why You Should Care

When you #FreeMint an NFT, you are getting it for almost no cost. Your only cost will be a small blockchain transaction fee (called a “gas fee”). And you might need to join some of the project’s social media accounts.

The NFTs you get for free may go up in value. GoblinTown NFTs recently went from free to over $5,000 in a few months.

So you have almost nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Why wouldn’t you take the time and trouble to go mint some free NFTs?

Even if you think the free NFTs are ugly, the rest of the NFT community may disagree. They may drive up the price of an NFT that you hate.

Here’s the List

To mint any of the NFTs on this list, you will need a web wallet such as MetaMask. You must have some ETH, MATIC, and/or SOL in the wallet to #FreeMint NFTs. If you do not have a MetaMask wallet yet, you can get a tutorial here.

(Note: I compiled this list of NFTs from a broad range of websites, based on information posted by the projects. Most of them are minting a few days in the future. So, I haven’t been able to verify the data. Please use this as a starting point to do your own research. I’m not giving you financial advice.)

A Simple Shortcut

The projects marked “Minting now” above can all be found and minted on Mint.fun. This is a website that tracks #FreeMint projects and allows you to view and mint them on a single site. I #FreeMinted some NFTs on the site and it seemed to work fine.

One More “Bonus” #FreeMint

This is a project that I can recommend (because I am the founder):

This is a collection of 10,000 original and unique Impressionist ART NFTs created with the help of artificial intelligence (AI). Obviously, our process is completely different from the “generative” process used by all the apes, punks, cats, dogs, birds, bears, pandas, frogs, warriors, aliens, robots, dragons, goblins, unicorns, and so on. And, we think the output is more attractive.

About AvatArt NFT Studios

AvatArt Studios is creating collections of original and unique ART NFTs. We create our NFTs with the help of artificial intelligence (AI). This is completely different from the “generative” process used by all the apes, punks, cats, dogs, birds, bears, pandas, frogs, warriors, aliens, robots, dragons, goblins, unicorns, and so on. It produces NFTs that are unusual, attractive, and distinctive.

AvatArt Studios has introduced three “cross-over” NFT collections. This means they fit into both the “Art NFT” and the “Collectible NFT” categories.

And, we promise not to over-hype or make exaggerated claims to market our artwork.

See more samples of our “Artistic Collectibles”.
