There are many things I admire about Speaker Nancy Pelosi, on top of that list is her fortitude.
Nancy Pelosi is the only woman in the history of the United States to hold the highest ranking position in government as Speaker of the House. She represents California’s 12th congressional district.
During her first speakership, she was instrumental in the passage of many landmark bills of the Obama administration, including the Affordable Care Act, the Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Repeal Act, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, and the 2010 Tax Relief Act.
One of her major acts as Speaker of the 116th Congress was announcing the commencement of the impeachment hearings into President Donald Trump on September 24, 2019.
