Aventus Closes Phase 1 Of The Validator Registration Program At 66% Capacity — Surpassing Its 50% Target

Aventus closed phase 1 of its Validator Registration Program on February 9th as it awaited confirmation from final validator registrants.

Having set an initial target of 1.25m AVT, 50% of the total required, the program surpassed that goal by receiving approximately 1.6m AVT — approximately 66% of capacity.

With a total supply of 10m tokens, the 1.6m received represents a significant portion of supply.

This is excellent news for Aventus and AVT holders as the company continues its new direction as a second-layer blockchain protocol that brings scalability, lower costs, and speed to Ethereum transactions.

Validators accepted onto the program will be able to withdraw their proportional share of transaction fees associated with their nodes on a monthly basis.

Given the requirement for a total of 2.5m tokens, Aventus has temporarily filled the remaining 900,000 — or 34% — of tokens required.

What is the Aventus Validator Registration Program?

The Aventus Validator Registration Program is a way for AVT holders to earn fees from transaction processing on the Aventus Network.

The Aventus Network will launch with 10 nodes, each with a total stake of 250,000 AVT.

Nodes will earn fees associated with the processed transactions at an average of $0.01 per transaction.

Thanks to Aventus’ existing partnerships with Cashback App, Artos Systems, FanDragon, and VOW currency, Validators will earn transaction fees from a minimum of 8.5m historical transactions.

What next for Aventus and Validator Registration?

The Aventus main net platform launch is set for later in February, with more news arriving over the coming weeks.

A number of AVT holders requested an extension to the program deadline which was unfortunately not possible given the need for Aventus to fill the remaining nodes with AVT.

However, In March, the Validator Registration Program Phase 1 will open again for a limited time only to allow AVT holders a second chance at participation.
