Latest Governance Votes Are In!

The latest governance proposal for the Aventus Network, in which AVT token holders were invited to vote on whether to update the requirements for AVT token holders to put forward governance proposals, has passed.

What Does This Mean?

AVT token holders will no longer be required to stake 100,000 AVT in order to put forward a governance proposal to make an amendment to the Aventus Network.

Instead, there will be a 100,000 AVT quorum on any vote (meaning that a vote must have a minimum of 100,000 AVT voting on it in order for the results to be valid).

What’s Next?

Any AVT token holder can now put forward a governance proposal to make an amendment to the Aventus Network.

If the proposal receives a minimum of 100,000 AVT votes, the majority of which are in favour of the proposal, it will pass. If the proposal receives less than 100,000 AVT votes, or the majority of votes are against the proposal, it will not pass.

Voting closed on 26th June 2024, with 84,400 votes, all in approval of the proposal.
