Announcing Flutter Forum
A dedicated platform for Flutter community to collaborate on news, questions, trivia and everything flutter
Flutter Forum is a dedicated platform for the flutter community to come together and collaborate and share content and information related to Flutter.
We all know that flutter has really started taking off. We just concluded with the first-ever #Hack19 International Flutter Hackathon. More than 70 hubs from all around the world participated in it. It would be unfair to say that flutter has not generated enough buzz around it. The expectation was around a dozen hubs participating from around the world but that turned out to be a different story altogether.
Aviabird Team also participated in the hackathon. We ended up building a forum for Flutter. Using discourse, we were able to release the platform in less than an hour on the domain flutterforum.co. Feel free to check it out and any questions if you have any.
After that, we built a mobile application for the forum. While we believe a web version for the forum should be enough but we will also release a mobile version of the forum code as well soon. This is mostly for learning purposes. We don’t plan to release the app in app stores.
Honestly, we didn’t build the forum for the sake of the Hackathon. We are more interested in making it a goto place to have discussions and engagement in the Flutter community. We just took this opportunity of the hackathon to kickstart our long term plan of starting a forum for dedicated to Flutter.
Our Flutter team has 9 members in it. They have managed to release 2 production applications so far in Flutter. One of the application has more than 100k monthly active users. We are seeing some promising result in efficiency and development speed. The team is committed to making sure that the forum always gets answers and discussions in the shortest time possible. We have an internal tool which starts barking if a question goes unnoticed(without replies) for more than 2 hours.
Looking forward to seeing you all on FlutterForum.
