A complete course to learn latest Angular 2 Fundamentals

We at Aviabird are thrilled to announce our latest Angular 2 Fundamentals course on Udemy coming out 31st Jan.

SUBSCRIBE NOW TO GET NOTIFIED WHEN WE LAUNCH!!!

We have been following the latest avatar of angular since the time it hit Github and we think it’s a good time to share our knowledge and experience in form of an online course.

We are believers of online MOOC’s and we think that university education is something which is going to get redundant if not totally go out of the scene with the advent of online education.

Our journey started back in 2012 when Udacity was launched I started the very first day of its launch. In that online course, I ended up building a search engine prototype(seriously not a big deal).

That’s me(Red band in the hand guy) attending the first ever Udacity meetup back in 2012.

We are working very hard on it and our goal with this course is to deliver quality content. We promise to deliver top quality content. That’s what is in our minds all the time, be it while we are creating the content, the write-up or shooting the videos. We are all geared up for this exciting journey!!!.

We are really looking forward to becoming better teachers every day so that you can learn in a fun and interesting way.

Course Curriculum

  1. Architecture, setup, source files
  2. TypeScript basics
  3. Getting started with latest angular
  4. Template fundamentals
  5. Rendering flows
  6. Component Architecture and Modules
  7. Services, Http and Observables
  8. Template Forms, Inputs and Validation
  9. Reactive Forms and more magic
  10. Routing

Throughout this course we’ll be teaching how to build an online platform for travellers. The code is already open source on Github. Go give it a whirl if you feel like 🚀. We’ll be launching this platform very soon as a side project. Ping us on our slack channel if you have any questions.

Salient features of this application:-

  • Travellers can create trips.
  • Travellers can follow each other.
  • Trip consists of cities, cities consist of places and places have pictures.(good nested form if you can visualise that 😎).
  • Travellers have a profile page where they can also import images from Instagram.
  • Travellers can search for trips based on tags such as trekking, adventure, sightseeing etc.
  • Travellers can update their profile with image uploads to Cloudinary.
  • For adding places visited we’ll be using Google places API.
  • Backend code is written in Ruby on Rails, don’t worry you don’t need to know Rails to get started as we have open sourced the backend code too and you’d be just using it as an API.

By the end of this course you’ll build a complete production website in Angular 2. Pretty exciting right?

We are also considering whether we should include redux approach(already present in our github repo) in this fundamental course or should we leave that for the Advanced course which will follow after this fundamentals course. Depending on the community response we’ll take this decision. So let us know what you think, we are listening.

Hope to see you in class!!!.

You can also join us on our angularcasts slack channel for instant help!!!
