Bell Unveils 407GXi Helicopter

Bell has unveiled its 407GXi helicopter at Heli-Expo in Las Vegas. Bell 407GXi is a converted version of its predecessor 407GXP, and features upgraded engine and new avionics.

The helicopter is equipped with Garmin G1000H NXi integrated flight deck and a new Rolls-Royce M250-C47E/4 engine.

407GXi was certified on January 19 and the company will begin its first deliveries by the mid of this year.

Global Commercial Aircraft Capital to Exceed $120 Billion Annually

According to FlightGlobal, capital requirements for global commercial aircraft fleet now exceeds over $120 billion annually.

During the period 2018–2021 aircraft manufacturers are expected to deliver 8,000 aircraft globally, which is an increase of approx. 30% over the previous four year period.

Safran Reported Strong 2017 Results

Safran reported higher-than-expected 2017 sales and profit supported by strong demand for aircraft equipment.

Company’s organic adjusted revenue increased by 7.4% and free cash flow generation was at Euro 1.44 billion (+32%).
