Boeing Expands its Digital Solutions in Russia

Boeing won three purchase agreements for its digital solutions, which was announced at MRO Russia.

The agreements cover AerData’s Engine Fleet Planning and Costing (EFPAC) system for managing leased and owned engines as well as Jeppesen’s crew scheduling solutions.

Each software product drives operational efficiency through analytics methods and tools powered by Boeing AnalytX.

The three customers are:

S7 Technics: A Russian company previously known as Engineering Holding. It specializes in aviation MRO services,

Pobeda: Pobeda is a low-cost airline based in Moscow. It’s a wholly owned subsidiary of Aeroflot.

Utair: A Russian airline headquartered in ‎Khanty-Mansiysk‎, Russia.

Lufthansa Launches Maintenance Consulting Service ‘Maintwise’

Lufthansa Technik has developed an end-to-end maintenance service that is tailored to the individual customer need and is delivered as a consulting service.

Branded as ‘Maintwise’, under this service, the Lufthansa Technik engineers work in cooperation with the customer’s team and then devise an individual maintenance concept after analyzing various optimization criteria.

As per the company’s press release, this solution “lowers maintenance costs and provides greater planning certainty”.

MTU Aero Engines and Sikorsky to Jointly Bid for German Air Force Helicopter Contract

Munich based German aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero Engines and US-based Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation will jointly bid for German Air Force’s heavy lift helicopter contract.

MTU will reportedly provide engine MRO services for German Air Force’s planned Sikorsky CH53K King Stallion helicopter fleet, which will replace its ageing fleet of CH-53G helicopters.

Airbus Might Stock Up Aircraft Parts To Minimize Brexit Effect

Airbus UK is a wholly owned subsidiary of Airbus produces wings for Airbus aircraft. The UK plants are also responsible for the design and supply of the fuel system and landing gear.

Now, in wake of uncertainties related to Brexit, Airbus might stock up on parts needed to build aircraft wings at these UK plants, to avoid delays in deliveries as formality for UK to leave European Union will progress ahead.

Dassault Selects UTC to Provide Nacelle System for Falcon Business Jet

France’s Dassault Aviation has selected UTC Aerospace Systems to provide advanced nacelle system for its new Falcon 6X Business Jet.

According to UTC, the new nacelle, made up of lightweight composites will be an integrated design with inlet, fan cowls, thrust reverser, and an engine build-up system.
