Honeywell Forecasts Growing Demand for Civilian Helicopters
Honeywell forecasts growing demand for civilian helicopters over the next five years. The company expects deliveries of 4,000 to 4.200 civilian helicopters through 2022.
In contrast, this number stood at 3,800 deliveries over the last five years (between 2013 and 2017).
According to Honeywell, better long-term global economic outlook globally, US tax reform and lower volatility in oil and gas-related markets will further help maintain the momentum in the market.
Cebu Pacific’s ‘Study Now, Pay Later’ Scheme for Pilots
Philippines based Cebu Pacific airlines is now accepting applications for second batch of cadet-pilots under its ‘study now, pay later’ scheme.
The 56-week Cadet Pilot Program will take 16 candidates for this batch, of which 52-week course is conducted in Australia, and remaining 4-week training is conducted in Manila, Philippines.
Under the ‘study now, pay later’ scheme, the successful candidates are employed by Cebu Pacific and the cost of pilot training is deducted from salary at zero interest for a maximum of 10 years.

Tyrolean Technik to Terminate Turboprop MRO Service
Innsbruck, Austria based Tyrolean Technik, a fully owned subsidiary of Austrian Airlines, will terminate its MRO service of Bombardier Dash 8 Q400. According to ATWonline, the company might transfer its Q400 business to either Lufthansa Technik (Malta or Sofia) or Austrian Technik Bratislava.
FlightSafety International Expands Training Using Level-D-qualified Helicopter Simulators
FlightSafety International has announced that training using its Level-D-qualified Helicopter Simulators have begun at its Learning Center in Denver, Colorado.
The center is equipped with Airbus Helicopters EC130T2 full flight simulator, Airbus Helicopters AS350 B3 and EC135, and Bell 407GXP simulators.
