Welcome, everyone! Avocado × Dropp AMA starts now!🥑

Today we will be joined by @Jae, and Chip will be the host for today. Yep, that’s me.🐧

The chat is closed now, so don’t be afraid if you can’t send messages. Chat will be re-opened straight after AMA is over.

During the AMA, we will have a little giveaway break. If you are quick enough, you will have a chance to win some $BUSD Token, so stick around.

Welcome, @Jae. We’re delighted you are here. Let’s start by hearing a bit about yourself. What’s your background, and what do you do now at Dropp?

Jae:
Hi Everyone! I am currently a CMO at DROPP leading business development, marketing, and product strategy.

Great to meet you all, and thanks for tuning in!

I have been working in the tech industry for years on strategy work and product management and saw a massive opportunity in the metaverse and nft space — which led me to where I am today.

Chip:
That’s nice to hear, Jay! Dropp must be very lucky to have you joining the team!

Jae:
Thank you!

Chip:
Just wondering, what does Dropp mean?

How did the team come up with this name, and is there any meaning attached?👀

Jae:
Good question.

Dropp became dropp since we were thinking of a name that could relate to exclusive drops of NFTs.

Dropp’s initial phase focused on bringing the metaverse into real life, where we wanted to do geo-location-based NFT drops just like exclusive merch releases with retail brands.

For instance, SNKRS from Nike uses geo-location to limit the exclusive access to sneakers, and we wanted to bring this paradigm to the NFT space where we can drive the culture and social engagement in real life.

Thus, we are DROPP😎

Chip:
Wow, that’s super cool! Loving all the emojis by @Avocadians btw haha💚

I visited Dropp’s website the other day (Shout out to the UI/UX designer for the sleek and excellent design of the website) and noticed that Dropp has an entirely different concept/vision than the other project.

I believe our @Avocadians might be wondering the same thing, what Dropp does, and what vision does Dropp trying to achieve in this emerging GameFi industry?🤔

Jae:
So our mission is “Bringing the metaverse into the real world.”

Think of this as pokemon go, where you can leverage the metaverse coordinate to real-world coordinate.

We wanted to create an environment where physical interaction is still viable in the metaverse.

Accordingly, our product divides into two different ways:

1. Exclusive NFT collaboration with celebrities and brands — We get to host unique actual life events by leveraging our geo-location technology by working with these exclusive IPs.

2. — DROPP LAND, where our community can use the land as their playground where users can engage with their NFT, play games, attend virtual events/concerts, and participate in the coordinated matched event in the real world! We want to make this platform the next paradigm of social media where engagement is mapped to real life.

In the end, we want to map the gamification of avatars mapped to real-life locations where you could mint your own nft and hunt down the exclusive NFT.

Does this make sense?

It was a lot to type😄

DROPP LAND is wholly based on the actual world map as well, which means that coordinates will be easier to match via geo-location technology

Chip:
Okay, that’s super exciting info with the mapping and geo-location technology; I’m honestly impressed by the implications this could have in the Gamefi/non-GameFi world…

Before proceeding to the questions from Discord, let’s spice things up and move to the task first, shall we, Jae?

Jae:
Yes ser.

Chip:

Chip:
Congrats to @A.G | 💖 CM 💖 | Skyy, @JY | Hooga, and @RxOGames!

Now let us proceed to the Discord questions.

The first question was from Atom:
Hello, Dropp Team!

I see that it involves the exclusive artists, celebrities, and brands selling their NFTs and the DROPP team dropping them on particular land exclusively. Is there any event or specific case wherein ordinary users, such as local artists who also have talent in music, art can sell their NFTs? If so, how does it work? Does it have any criteria or requirements to be followed?

Jae:
Our NFT collaborations currently occur with exclusive artists, celebrities, and brands to ensure our community receives quality work with the proper utilities to engage with their favorite celebrities/influencers. However, in the future, we will also open up the UGC (User Generated Contents), where users can create their own landmarks/nfts to engage and monetize via their content. We haven’t finalized the exact requirements and criteria on this, but we will announce it in the future once we are ready with the technology to support it!

Think of this as social media or Pinterest to monetize your content.

UGC is the future, and the paradigm of how web 3.0 monetize will be revolutionized with DROPP!

Chip:
That was pretty insightful, Jae. I can’t wait for the launch of UGC and see how it will revolutionize Web 3.0!

We have seen NFT been generating hype for quite some time now. And this brings us to Pepe’s question as follows: I saw on your Twitter that short-term hype is not for dropp; what are the advantages of dropp as we have seen so far that hype in nft tends to disappear very quickly.

Jae:
We offer not only exclusive artists/celebrities NFTs but also robust utility. Our utilities are divided into two different portions:

1. Artists back utilities — this will vary by artists and can be both virtual utilities and physical utilities
2. DROPP LAND utilities include staking, airdrop events, priority access to next drops.

This way community actually can constantly engage with the NFT. Further down in the future, some NFTs will convert the format into AR and gamification characters which will become an engaging experience for users.

When it comes down to the actual NFTs sustainability, it relies on the sustainability and usability of the NFT.

We are always ideating how we can improve the utility so that users can not only benefit but also utilize the NFT as a ticket/access in the long term.

So any feedback will be welcomed in our community!!

We want to engage and do this together as community.

10,000 brains are better than 20–30 of our brain😄

LFG!

Chip:
From reading your answers, Jae, let me tell you that I’m confident your project is future-proof. There is much uncertainty about GameFi and NFT, but you seem well prepared. Love it.😍

#LFG #WAGMI🚀

Alright, back to capcosmos question:

Your project is significant, but it needs large user traffic to be sustainable over time. What marketing strategies do you have planned to increase the validity of your brand? Are you planning a strategic partnership to level up the dropp project?

Jae:
Yes. We are rapidly expanding our network and partners to not only nft/metaverse projects but also retail brands and celebrities. We are trying to expand our community towards the non-NFT community since education is vital.

In the end, NFT / Metaverse is all about the culture and community.

Chip:
We’re so honored for having such a strategic partnership with exciting projects like Dropp and looking forward to what we can achieve together in the future!

Jae:
“I ❤️Avocado” Sticker

Chip:

Be ready, bois and gals!

So the next question is from EnjinBULL:

Most NFT Minting Project initially chose to launch on Ethereum because of its thriving ecosystem and first-mover advantage. Why did DROPP initially launch on Solana Blockchain? Are there plans to extend to other chains like Ethereum, Avalanche?

Jae:
We chose Solana for two reasons.

1. Scalability — To meet the scale requirements of DROPP’s metaverse, we needed a solution that could scale fast with speed, just like Solana

2. Speed and price of the transaction — In the end, the transaction has to be cheap and fast to overtake the traditional way of transacting. For this reason, Solana was the leading blockchain that could adapt fast.

Web 3.0 will be a war of who gets to A → B fastest and safest. I think Solana has a bright future in this!

However, this does not mean that we are limited to Solana. We are actively researching and testing on cross-chain as well. The critical issue here is the security concern of being centralized. Once the security concern is well researched from our end, we will announce the cross-chain capability!

Chip:
So, multichain is in the planning. Great to hear that!

And we have our last question from EnjinBULL too.

I read that DROPP consists of three fundamental areas:
a. Geo Based DROPP Exclusive NFTs
b. DROPP Land
c. DROPP 3D — AR capability (Play-to-Earn Model)

Can you shed more light on these core areas and how they enable DROPP Ecosystem to scale?

Jae:
Well — let’s say researching😄

I think we covered on above regarding the geo-based NFT.

DROPP LAND is covered above; however, to elaborate more on this — DROPP LAND is based on the actual world map where users can leverage the coordinate that matches the actual world coordinates.

Each Dropp land city edition will be joined via many gamification metaverse projects, NFT projects, and retail brands.

Accordingly, there will be plenty of fun activities such as games, virtual events, NFT releases that will make DROPP LAND an exciting playground!

Last but not least, DROPP 3D is the gamification and Augmented Reality capability to blend into the real world!

For more details, you can refer to our medium as well😄

Chip:
Thanks, Jae, for providing us a clear picture of what Dropp does also answering all the questions from Avocadians.

Before ending the AMA, let’s have another task, shall we, Jae?

Jae:
Yes!

Chip:
Two winners with 20$ of $BUSD each, you’re allowed to ask one question.

The chat will be open for three minutes for the questions and then closed right after. @Jae will then choose two from the questions to answer.

Three minutes passed, chat is closed now.

Jae, kindly choose two questions from the above to answer.

Question 1 by Atom:
Integrating exclusive artists, celebrities, and brands is fantastic to have in this project to entice the users or fans. Could you tell us more about the inspiration for this project or the story behind it?

Jae:
I think this is an interesting question — Definitely. Our philosophy is physical interaction is a fundamental value for humans. Even if metaverse evolves, it will still require real-world interaction. We saw this as an opportunity to bridge the gap between the two universes: Virtual and real worlds. Accordingly, we chose geo-location technology to map that gap.

Question 2 by Max:
There are a lot of artists who are new to NFT but are also interested. Do you think DROPP is beginner-friendly?

Jae:
I think Dropp is exceptionally user-friendly. It resembles the UI of google map and is very easy to use! I hope this answers the question.

Chip:
Well, we got our last two winners.🥳

The AMA is coming to an end too, and thank you, @Jae, for coming to chat with the @Avocadians today. Nice having you here!

Jae:
Thank you, everyone!!!
