👣 and if the streets could speak
Light to each step, like the other talking;
they would speak of every silly dance caught in a moment👣
Struck by the hard air at my face;
enchanter, as I lose myself
with corner turned at every red light
halt! I stop
Shone on the pane against my heavy shoes,
the tip tap of my feet
Held me back with a double shoes,
of the time I almost tripped over in urbs rush,
commute or a long highway that stood traffic
For me to cross by when I stopped still
to watch sunsets as I walked the sidewalk
in the unhurried heartbeat of the city.
a clumsy reminder of the pace
turbido in traffic,
cars in a world of thoughts,
each pause a chance to breathe.
Light for a moment not without a doubt;
On the roadway, amidst traffic streams
municipia the noise and bustlings
as if the streets could speak, as if they speak and speak
struck by cross roads and of every dusty smell by the yellow line
Sought for a good distance under the new left.
the street light glimmers as its dusk
my voice quitens as rain falls
I stroll along the path👣
Around the city and in the city;
Light the flame for a door to do
I reach home
Combed the daylight for dusk
👣and if the streets could speak
Light to each step, like the other talking;
they would speak of every silly dance caught in a moment
of laughter, of pause, of moments unshared,👣
calling me to stop, to breathe,
to savor each fleeting instant,
each step a note in the grand score
of life unfolding,
precious baby steps on the streets that speak
as if the streets could speak.
as if the streets could speak.
