Brandon Yarchuk is a third-year fashion design student currently pursuing a BFA. He designs and constructs both garments and jewelry. His source of inspiration for design is the modest household; one that has been lived in for a while, has a bit of wear, and evokes comfort and personality. The designs submitted to this campaign reflect his interest in the juxtaposition of a pristine concrete or stone next to glass, as seen in some modern architecture. His favourite aspect of fashion is its direct correlation to every facet of a society it belongs to. This is the third time Brandon collaborated with AWAYTOMARS.

His original sketch was a shirt with buttons and asymmetrical collar and wide leg trousers:

Our proposal was a long buttoned shirt and pants with an opening on the botton.

The result: The Fashion Show at ModaLisboa

On our AW17 edition of the ModaLisboa we wanted to present a different concept: we wanted our guests to experience the co-criation process live. For this we invited artists to intervene on the clothes that were presented in calico (a plain cotton fabric). Brandon Yarchuk designs were transformed by the artist Fernanda Feher and Marilia Biasi, our head designer.
