It’s been a jammed packed weekend at Lisbon Fashion week, with the launch of our new collection 718.

Co-created amongst 718 people, working with 20 different designers, and showcasing the work of photographer Gleeson Paulino. 718 is our largest collaborative collection yet!

We launched the collection in the picturesque grounds of Pavilhao Carlos Lopes, the new space for Lisbon Fashion Week. The early evening sun set off the innovative materials used in this latest collection, including printed organza and reflective plastics.

Suzy Menkes from British Vogue was amongst some of the VIPs in the crowd. ‘On the runway, around a blue pool, the group sent out a jumpsuit that had started its design life as a dress, one of many examples of the curatorship that makes the disparate designs speak together as a collection.’

She joined us backstage to learn more about AWAYTOMARS and collection 718.

We displayed all our models on plynths, to create an interactive exhibition where people appreciate the materials up close. Our pieces were designed by co-creation, why stop at the runway? At AWAYTOMARS we want people to get involved and connect with the pieces. We thought it would be nice to approach the public with a this new format instead of doing to conventional runway show.
