NOTE: This is a cross-post from the Awesome React newsletter. I publish each email one week after it’s sent. Subscribe to get more content like this earlier right in your inbox!

Hope you had a great week! After the announcement email of the new redesign last week this is the first issue of the newsletter I plan to send weekly highlighting some of the new video additions to awesomereact.com.

The first videos of the React Day Berlin conference which took place on December 2, 2017 in Berlin, Germany were released.

In this talk we are going to have the needed discussion about Preact and why it’s awesome. Watch it here.
Redux is a strict framework. Whether you view that as a pro or a con, handling async actions can sometimes be a pain. Redux Sagas make this easier. Watch it here.

Check out all the other awesome videos from the conference here.

I also added the talks from the React Alicante conference which took place on September 28–30, 2017 in Alicante, Spain.

GraphQL is getting increasingly popular and many big companies like GitHub, Twitter and Shopify are already using it in production. In this talk, I want to demonstrate one of the newer and less-known GraphQL features: Realtime Subscriptions. Watch it here.
In this talk, you will learn about the basics of ReasonML, a OCaml-based language with a more familiar syntax for JavaScript developers specifically targeted to React developers. Watch it here.

Check out all awesome videos from React Alicante here.

In case you missed the announcement post last week you can read here why I decided to rebuilt awesomereact.com with Next.js, styled components and GraphQL. Do you know of some awesome videos about React and it’s ecosystem which I haven’t added yet? Just reply to this email and I will add them.

Thanks, Andreas (@itsakeller)
