Conclusion:
The AWS Cloud Security User Group West Africa study sessions were successful in attracting participants and increasing community engagement. The sessions provided valuable resources and helped participants prepare for the AWS Security Specialty exam. We also had a post event series meetup where we awarded Internet data vouchers for two outstanding community leaders that supported the success of the series — Blessing Nwojiji and Abiodun Eniola.
Our next event is the “AWS re:Invent re:Caps on Security and Identity” and we plan to hold similar study sessions in upcoming months of this year, covering various security perspectives in the future.
NOTE: We will soon begin planning for our main in-person AWS summit event, where we aim to host a large number of delegates from across West Africa for a full day of learning and networking. The specific date for the event will be determined during our next leaders meeting. However, we have agreed that it will be scheduled for either July, August, or September. Follow our public profiles to be notified of upcoming events.
