Strings Can’t be Characterised…

Although, we must be changing them for a reason, right?

I don’t have enough guitars or time to leave strings on until they are unplayably rotten, so we’ll have to make do with strings that are starting to go…

Conclusions

1. How you like your strings is up to you
2. More sensible people than me recommend changing them when they can no longer hold their tuning, or the intonation is getting bad
3. It’s actually quite subtle

Always remember: how you feel makes a huge difference to how you play, and if you don’t believe me: record yourself and listen back on a different day.

So, stay happy, stay safe and stay playing no matter how old your strings are!
