At Axial, we spend a lot of time thinking about and focusing on our culture. We see creating a positive, compelling and inspiring culture as the ultimate enabler for our teams. Particularly as we work to reinvent the private capital markets, transforming the way private companies, advisors and investors alike connect, share information and ultimately, transact, it is of utmost importance that we design an internal culture that nurtures and rewards a high standard of excellence while producing a fun environment to work in.

For our engineers, who sit at the center of the innovation that guides our daily work, cultivating and fostering a winning and outstanding culture is especially vital.

Our engineers build beautiful web and mobile products using the Pyramid web application framework, Kafka, AngularJS, Ionic, Sass, and PostgreSQL. They work on the same team as Product Managers and UX Designers to deliver products and business improvement solutions.

Some of the biggest problems we’re working on right now include:

• Going Reactive. We’re building a reactive system with the tenets that the system should be responsive, resilient, elastic, and message driven. They are building highly testable services that follow the above requirements.
• Revolutionizing Search. Search connects entrepreneurs and their advisors with capital and services. By constantly improving search and by innovating on top of the latest techniques including AI and machine learning, we help our Members:
  – secure the capital needed to finance or sell their business
  – connect and build relationships
  – constantly improve relevancy
• Modernizing. Our members expect Axial to work equally well on their desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. We obsess over our members and we’re committed to modernizing our platform to exceed the demands of our members.
• Going to a True Microservices Architecture. We believe our data is our business, and we believe that modular interfaces making use of decoupled data services give us the maximum flexibility and utility.

Our Engineering organization is a team of highly talented, ambitious, and tenacious engineers dedicated to achieving excellence in every aspect and level of our system.
