Axie Marketplace — The Market for Axies is open!
After being launched & opened for presale in February 2018, Axie Infinity’s popularity is spreading, nearly 1000 Axies have been sold and the number keeps on increasing. The game’s newest update is now live, with the feature that fans have been anticipating for a long time: Marketplace.
Earning profits while playing is a revolutionary step in the gaming industry. That is now possible with the release of the Marketplace. It is one of the basic features of any blockchain game because it brings market economy aspects into the game, deciding the success or failure of that game in the cryptocurrency scene.
At the Presale of the game, players earn ownership of Axies by purchasing 3 available types with Ethereum (ETH). In the Marketplace, players can bring along their Axies and sell them in the form of an auction type called Clock auction: the seller set the Axie on auction with a start price, an end price and a duration. Over time, the price can go up or down from the start price to the end price, depends on the seller’s intention. Other players have to be well-calculated to take the chance to buy the desired Axies from sellers.
